About Ana.

The founding partner of McNamara Law Offices, Ms. McNamara is a dedicated litigation attorney with over 19 years of experience. She has successfully represented corporate clients and individuals in matters ranging from breach of contract and misrepresentation claims to divorce, landlord-tenant, personal injury and injunctions/temporary restraining orders. Highly competitive, Ms. McNamara is dedicated to accomplishing a winning result for her clients. She has been described by her peers as a strategically aggressive adversary and a formidable opponent in the courtroom.

Prior to starting her own law practice, she practiced litigation formerly with a law firm based in the Sears (Willis) Tower in Chicago. She has authored various legal articles, including “The Inevitable Disclosure Doctrine: Restricting Competition Through the Back Door,” IDC Quarterly, vol. 11, no. 2, First Quarter, 2001 and the “Let’s Be Legal” column in the national newspaper, Broker News. She is a member of the LaPorte County, Indiana and Illinois State Bar Associations, is active in various charitable organizations, and is a volunteer firefighter.

Ms. McNamara’s practice consists of 90 percent litigation and 10 percent transactional matters. In order to better serve her clients, she obtained her Real Estate Broker’s License and regularly attends continuing education seminars on a variety of legal topics. Her diverse business experience, which includes trading commodity futures contracts on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, enables her to better understand and serve her business clients. To date, Ms. McNamara has never lost a jury trial.

Ana McNamara

Ms. McNamara is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and is a member of the Federal Trial Bar and the LaPorte County and Illinois State Bar Associations. She also has served as an arbitrator appointed by the Circuit Court of Cook County.
